PDO Threads

What are PDO Threads?

PDO stands for Polydioxanone; synthetic absorbable surgical sutures used to lift and tighten sagging skin and stimulate the formation of collagen.

PDO Threads are inserted and attached into the layer of tissue between the dermis and subcutaneous fat layer creating a firming and tightening effect. Compared to a traditional surgical face lift, a “Thread lift” leaves no visible scars and no skin is cut away.

Threads fully absorb within 4 to 6 weeks and continue to improve for up to six months as collagen and elastin form and mature.

Areas of Treatment

PDO Graphic PDO threads can very effectively:

  • Improve the quality of the skin
  • Redefine the contour of the face
  • Reduce roundness
  • Reduce wrinkles
  • Lift sagging skin in the cheeks, jowls and neck
    • Stimulate collagen production
A thread lift can last anywhere from 12 to 18 months, but some people report effects for even longer.
