Olivia Bergau

  • Olivia Bergau, Physician Assistant
    General Dermatology, Cosmetic Dermatology

Our Certified PAs work closely with a board-certified physician. Physician Assistants in dermatology are able to evaluate the whole patient and often fulfill a key role in early detection and prevention. They perform physical exams, order & interpret lab test, perform non-excisional surgical procedures, prescribe medications and counsel patients on their conditions, prognosis and treatment plans. Like physicians, Certified PAs (PA-C) complete an intensive general medical education, pass rigorous national certification exams and are licensed by state medical boards. Throughout their medical career, PAs stay up-to-date through rigorous ongoing recertification education and assessment requirements.

After receiving her undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology from Florida State University, Olivia returned to her alma mater to pursue a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. For her clinical rotations, Olivia was placed at the regional campus based in Daytona Beach, FL. During her elective dermatology rotation, Olivia gained hands-on experience at none other than Parks Dermatology. Upon graduation, Olivia was inducted as a member of Phi Alpha Honor Society.

Olivia was born and raised in Merritt Island, FL. In her free time, she can be found traveling, spending time on the water or staying active. Prior to pursuing her medical career, Olivia was the captain of the 2018 FSU National Champion women’s soccer team and played professional soccer in Iceland for a season.
