Sara Pulayya

Our Certified PAs work closely with a board-certified physician. Physician Assistants in dermatology are able to evaluate the whole patient and often fulfill a key role in early detection and prevention. They perform physical exams, order & interpret lab test, perform non-excisional surgical procedures, prescribe medications and counsel patients on their conditions, prognosis and treatment plans. Like physicians, Certified PAs (PA-C) complete an intensive general medical education, pass rigorous national certification exams and are licensed by state medical boards. Throughout their medical career, PAs stay up-to-date through rigorous ongoing recertification education and assessment requirements. 

Sara (Cox) Pulayya is a board-certified and doctorate trained physician assistant with a comprehensive foundation in family medicine, urgent care, and functional medicine that serves her well in the practice of dermatology. Her interests include medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Sara enjoys providing patient education with an emphasis on preventative measures while utilizing her knowledge of industry practices. She is passionate and skilled in offering botulinum toxin tailored to each patient and acknowledges that cookie cutter medicine does not offer ideal results. Sara prioritizes evidence-based medicine and encourages shared decision-making with her patients which she believes offers optimal outcomes.

When she isn’t treating patients, Sara enjoys cooking, watching a good movie, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband, friends, and family. “You can’t always have a good day. But you can always face a bad day with kindness and a good attitude.”
